No, quite definitely a YA story, with all the hallmarks. Looks ordinary; has magical powers which she must keep hidden. Has trouble making ordinary friends; no trouble making magical friends. Just wants an ordinary life; must submit to an extraordinary destiny. I hope this story can ensnare some YAs into reading your, um, OlderA fiction.
